Consultation Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you book a consultation with Dr Dani Menopause Care (a trading name of Astrion Medical Consulting Ltd). Please read them before booking. By booking an appointment you accept these terms.

About us and our service

Consultations are provided by Dr Daniela Hristova (GMC registration # 6070189), a menopause doctor at The Open Practice, Jameson House, Lutyens Close, Basingstoke RG24 8AG. We provide private, non-urgent specialist menopause care. Our service does not replace your registration with or the care of your NHS GP and we are not an emergency or urgent care service. If you need urgent medical help, contact NHS 111; in an emergency call 999 or attend your nearest A&E.

Appointments and what is included

Initial consultation: in person at The Open Practice. We do not offer video or telephone initial consultations.

Follow-up consultations: in person; a remote (video or telephone) follow-up may be offered at the doctor’s discretion where clinically appropriate.

Included in your consultation fee: the consultation itself, a letter to your GP and the issuing fee of any private prescription arising from the consultation.

Not included: the cost of medication dispensed against a private prescription (payable to the pharmacy), blood tests and other investigations and any third-party charges.

Fees and payment

Our current fees are published on this website. Fees are fixed at the date of your appointment: if fees change between booking and appointment, the fee applicable on your appointment date applies, and we will make any planned change clear at the time of booking.

Cancellation and rescheduling by you

48 hours’ notice or more: full refund or free rescheduling.

Between 24 and 48 hours’ notice: 50% refund or rescheduling subject to a fee of 50% of the consultation fee.

Less than 24 hours’ notice, or non-attendance: no refund. The full fee is payable.

Late arrival: if you arrive late we will do our best to see you, but your appointment may need to be shortened or, if too little time remains for a safe consultation, treated as a missed appointment.

Cancellation and rescheduling by us

If we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment (for example, due to clinician illness), we will give you as much notice as possible and offer you an alternative appointment or a full refund. Our liability in these circumstances is limited to the fee you have paid.

Prescriptions and medication

Any prescription is issued at the doctor’s clinical judgement; a consultation does not guarantee that a particular treatment will be prescribed. Private prescriptions may be sent to our partner pharmacy or another pharmacy of your choice; medication costs are payable by you directly to the pharmacy. It is your responsibility to give us accurate and complete information about your health, medication and medical history — our advice and prescribing rely on it.

Communication with your GP

For safe care, we will normally write to your NHS GP following your consultation, with your consent, summarising our assessment and any treatment started. If you ask us not to contact your GP, we will discuss the implications with you; in some circumstances it may not be clinically appropriate to prescribe without GP communication.

Medical records and confidentiality

We keep clinical records of your care in accordance with professional standards and our Privacy Policy (below). Your information is treated in confidence and shared only as described in the Privacy Policy or as required by law.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please tell us. Our Complaints Policy is published on this website and explains how we will respond.
