Yes. I work with organisations to deliver evidence-based menopause education and training, helping create workplaces where women feel understood and supported.

Sessions can be tailored to your organisation and delivered in person or online, including awareness sessions for all staff and more focused briefings for line managers and HR teams.

You do not need a referral from your GP to book a consultation.

It is important that your GP is kept informed of any advice or treatment recommendations. You will receive a summary of your consultation, which you can share with your GP.

If you have any relevant letters or blood test results from previous medical consultations, please have these available for your appointment.

In most cases, your GP may be able to take over prescribing your HRT once your treatment plan has been established.

Following your initial consultation, I usually recommend starting treatment with a private prescription so that you can begin treatment without delay.

Once your treatment is stable, you may choose to contact your GP to continue prescribing. I provide a detailed consultation summary to support this, which you can share with your GP.

It is important to note that individual GP practices may have different prescribing policies and I cannot guarantee that all recommendations will be adopted.

Many GPs are willing to prescribe oestrogen, progesterone and vaginal hormone treatments. However some medications may not be available on local NHS formularies.

Testosterone prescribing for women remains variable within the NHS and access may differ depending on your GP practice.

If an ultrasound scan is required, I can arrange a referral for a private scan and we can discuss which provider works best for you.

I will explain why the ultrasound scan is needed and what it involves, so you feel fully informed before going ahead.

You may also choose to arrange ultrasound through your GP.

If you require referral to secondary care, I will write directly to your registered GP outlining my recommendations.

If I have any concerns that require urgent assessment, including a possible cancer referral under the two-week-wait pathway , I will aim to contact your GP the same day, so this can be actioned promptly.

I am only able to see patients who are physically in the UK at the time of their appointment, as my medical indemnity does not cover consultations conducted outside the UK.

If you live outside the UK, I may be able to offer general guidance or educational information, but this would not constitute a formal medical consultation, diagnosis or treatment.

Yes, there is ample free parking available for patients attending the clinic at The Open Practice.

No. Many women in peri-menopause still require contraception as well as HRT.

Because the Mirena coil may stop your periods, it is not always clear whether you are peri- or postmenopausal. In this case it is usually better to keep it in place.

The Mirena can also be used as part of HRT to provide endometrial protection (protecting the womb lining).

I prescribe body-identical HRT: a regulated, UK-authorised hormonal treatment that is chemically identical to the hormones naturally produced by your body.

In some cases, other types of HRT (such as synthetic options) may be considered, depending on your individual needs. Any treatment options will be discussed with you in detail.

All medications that I prescribe are regulated and approved for use by the UK medicines regulator MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) .

Your consultation fee includes the prescription fee where a prescription is issued. This covers the prescription itself; the cost of any medication is paid separately.

Prescriptions are fulfilled through our partner pharmacies, Cloud Rx and Pharmacierge.

Any lab tests are arranged directly by you. For local phlebotomy: Medichecks or Blue Horizon at Superdrug in Basingstoke. For remote or home-test patients: Blue Horizon or London Medical Lab.

Following your consultation, you will receive a written summary of our discussion and recommendations. I recommend sharing a copy with your GP so your records stay up to date.
